Stílusgourmand X MÜÜSKA collection

The Millions & Billions is an extravagant luxury collection of wallpapers, decorative pillows and armchairs that was created through a special collaboration, inspired by the glamour of the 1970s and the luxury towns of Italy, as well as by Balázs Pécsi’s style advisory and etiquette book, Stílusgourmand (Style Gourmand), produced by the MÜÜSKA design brand. The collection, showcased at one of the most prominent design events in the CEE region, S/ALON Budapest Interior Design Exhibition from 20-22 September, boldly challenges current trends with its motifs and distinctive patterns. Its most unique piece is currently the world’s most expensive decorative pillow, which can be delivered by carriage, limousine, or oldtimer car upon request.

In the 1970s, celebrities such as Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly, Maria Callas, and Elizabeth Taylor visited towns like Capri, Portofino, and Porto Cervo. The elegant styles of these towns, which have since become luxury destinations, significantly influenced the color palette and patterns of the Millions & Billions collection. Its designer, luxury expert Balázs Pécsi, used artificial intelligence to create the graphics, drawing inspiration from his style advisory and etiquette book, Stílusgourmand (Style Gourmand), published in May.

This publication provides readers with practical tips on elegant dressing, refined interior design, gastronomy, and other lifestyle topics, while placing great emphasis on good manners in all situations. The beautifully illustrated book features nearly 300 vibrant watercolor-style illustrations, selected by the author. Currently, the collection offers a total of 30 types of wallpaper in five colorways (coral, pink, turquoise, lime-purple, and gray) on matte, satin, or metallic wallpapers. The collection includes intricate figurative motifs and simple geometric patterns, as well as solid-colored wallpapers that perfectly match in shade and texture. Another prominent product group in the collection is the decorative pillows, featuring either a velvet front with a single large graphic taken from the book, or with some parts of the wallpaper’s patterns. Finally the most extravagant pieces are the high-backed, throne-like armchairs that can be a real statement point in any interior.

An exception was made this time by the design brand that typically collaborates with validated painters

MÜÜSKA design brand is not a traditional furniture manufacturer, but a so-called collectible design brand. This means that the brand’s main product group, upholstered furniture, navigates between furnishings, home decor, and artistic products. The brand’s core concept is to collaborate only with renowned visual artists, whose selected works are printed on high-quality materials. These are primarily used as upholstery for 19th and 20th-century armchairs or transformed into limited-edition new pieces, including armchairs, beds, and even custom-made wallpapers. This time, the brand made an exception with the author of The Gentleman’s Review luxury blog, Balázs Pécsi, honoring the esteemed expert’s contributions to the luxury industry internationally.

The monogram embroidery is made with 24-karat gold

One of the customizable elements of the decorative pillows is that the customer can have their own or the recipient’s monogram embroidered on the back of the pillow with gold-colored thread. This option can also be requested with thread containing 40% real 24-karat gold, produced by the Piana Clerico thread manufacturer, established in 1582 in Piemonte, Italy. Thus, the decorative pillow filled with Hungarian goose down and feathers is considered the most expensive decorative pillow in the world, with a price exceeding 10,000 euros. Accordingly, the delivery method is quite special: upon request, the pillow is delivered in a decorative box by horse-drawn carriage, old-timer car, or limousine to the specified address.

Special edition for the Lunar New Year’s celebration

Furthermore a special piece of the collection is „The Year of the Snake 2025 Limited Edition Lucky Pillow”, which has a piece of opal stone hidden inside, the lucky gemstone for those born in the Year of the Snake according to the Chinese zodiac, sewn into it. Based on the year 2025’s lucky numbers, only 289 numbered pieces are available.
